Research is all about asking questions. The ability which has been lost systematically over prolonged periods of conventional methods of education. It is important to regain this ability. The Whys, Whats, and the Hows etc. M²RP program will ensure this ability is re-gained to a group of committed faculties.
Research questions are the basis of the research process. They kindle the curiosity, zeal, and quest for answers and more knowledge. However, learning how to form good research questions and being able to follow through with actual research is a process that requires education, experience, mentoring and leadership. This program has very clear objectives to ameliorate research capacity building at an Institutional level. The M²RP program addresses seven key elements which are crucial for meaningful research

1. Identification of new/unanswered research questions in the form of a hypothesis
2. Identifying the right people who are keen on pursuing research sincerely
3. Interdisciplinary research
4. Focussed research
5. Developing a robust methodology
6. Applying to funding agencies
7. Enhancing research capacity building

The Deliverables -

• By the end of this M²RP program, the institution would have submitted projects to various external funding agencies in the range of 4-5 crores through their own faculties.
• By the end of this M²RP Project, the institution would have created a pool of 15-25 well trained researchers (1-2 researchers from each department) who can spearhead research for the institution in the future.
• By the end of this project, 1-3 collaborative (either national or international) projects would have been submitted for funding.
• First steps to establish Centres of Excellence within the institution.
